FrieslandCampina Ingredients, a global supplier of proteins and prebiotics, will demonstrate its application expertise with a range of snacks, drinks, and supplements at SupplySide Global, which will include its Excellion Caseinates, Biotis GOS, and Biotis Fermentis.

Excellion

GLP-1 use is accelerating the drive to meet daily protein goals, and Excellion caseinate proteins can provide a slow and steady release of amino acids, supporting long-lasting muscle protein synthesis. It is ideal for overnight formulations in active and performance nutrition, as well as in GLP-1 companion products. The proteins will be featured in bar and drink applications at FrieslandCampina’s booth.

Excellion Textpro will also be available to sample in an indulgent protein bar with no added sugar. This ingredient can help high-protein bars maintain a softer texture with reduced product hardening through a shelf life of up to 12 months.

Biotis

Prebiotics like galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) are becoming more popular, reflected in Google search volumes for prebiotics increasing by 66% in the last five years, the company reported.

Biotis GOS will be available to sample in a variety of applications, including gummies, where visitors can experience its light, sweet taste.

Samples of Biotis Fermentis, a fermented ingredient with whey protein and probiotic cultures, will also be available to sample in on-the-go bars and sparkling drinks. This ingredient is suitable for performance nutrition applications, as well as for individuals transitioning off of GLP-1 medications, according to the company.
